blue doubt

I bought a blue cotton skein and I wound it on this old winding frame I found in my mom's home....

I must tell I had this winding frame in my memory since I was a child.... (it means a loooong time ago.......)

My purpose is to make a crochet hat.....

my only problem is if I will make it like this one....

or like this one.....
